The BETAFPV F4 1S 5A All-In-One Brushless Flight Controller is now back in stock with new and upgraded features. Compared to the previous version, the new board utilizes a Serial ExpressLRS 2.4G receiver instead of the SPI ELRS 2.4G, allowing it to support ExpressLRS V3.0. Additionally, a Frsky RX version is available for selection.
The updated flight controller boasts a high-quality BMI270 gyro and BB51 ESC hardware. Furthermore, this new board supports the Betaflight Blackbox function, providing an extremely powerful tool for tuning and troubleshooting FPV drones.
The flight controller comes with a Serial ExpressLRS 2.4G receiver, which can be updated via Wi-Fi or Betaflight serial passthrough. This convenience allows pilots to flash any version of ELRS RX firmware, particularly the ExpressLRS V3.0, without the need to update the flight controller firmware.
For the Frsky version, the board reserves an SBUS port and a UART port, which can be used for the SBUS protocol receiver or other external receivers.
Integrated with an 8MB flash memory chip dedicated to Blackbox logging, this flight controller is a powerful tool for tuning and troubleshooting FPV drones.
The flight controller features integrated motor pin connectors, making it easy to install motors without soldering work. Its particular design with an ultralight weight of only 3.6g (ELRS) or 3.7g (Frsky), a reasonable layout, and easy build process make it an attractive option.
Compatibility-wise, the 26*26mm mounting hole size of the flight controller fully aligns with the current whoop frame market.
Regarding the specifications, the flight controller is powered by an STM32F411CEU6 (100MHz) CPU and features a six-axis BMI270 gyro. The ELRS version comes with a Serial ExpressLRS 2.4G receiver, while the Frsky version features a SPI CC2500 receiver.
The firmware versions are betaflight_4.3.1_BETAFPVF411 (ELRS) and betaflight_4.2.11_BETAFPVF411RX (Frsky), both with a built-in Betaflight OSD.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a VTX with an output of 200mW or higher, such as the BETAFPV M03 350mW VTX or the TBS Unify VTX.
The power cable is 55mm long and equipped with a BT2.0 connector. The overall weight, without the power cable and BT2.0 connector, is 3.6g (ELRS) or 3.7g (Frsky).
The ESCs on the flight controller are capable of providing 5A continuous and 6A peak (3 seconds) current, powered by a 1S battery. The ESC firmware is A_X_5_.HEX, compatible with BB51 BLHeli_S hardware.
Crafted from high-quality materials, the flight controller is durable, practical, and boasts a good texture with minimal burrs. Additionally, it exhibits enhanced wear resistance, ensuring a longer lifespan.
